Psionic Entity is the sonic transmission of Ryan Psionic, a UK-based psychedelic DJ, producer, promoter and ritual dance facilitator whose work has been deeply embedded in the global psychedelic underground for nearly two decades.

Emerging from the fertile psytrance scene of Liverpool, Psionic Entity began his DJ journey in 2005 as founder and resident of Soma Sonic, the long-running Liverpool psychedelic trance event known for its immersive atmosphere, ritualistic dance floors and uncompromising underground spirit. Over the years, Soma Sonic became more than a party: it became a portal — a meeting point for psychedelic music, visionary culture, community, magick and deep dance-floor exploration.

From these foundations, Psionic Entity has carried his sound across some of the world’s most respected psychedelic dance floors, performing throughout Europe, Asia and South America. His journey has taken him to internationally recognised gatherings including OZORA, MoDem, Boomtown, Anthropos, SUN, Yaga and Suti, among many others. These experiences have shaped a DJ style rooted not in formula, but in sensitivity — an ability to read the time, place, energy and intention of a space, then build a journey that serves the moment.

Musically, Psionic Entity operates across the full spectrum of psychedelic electronica. His sets draw from an ever-expanding archive of obscure, experimental and cutting-edge music, moving fluidly through Forest, Darkpsy, Hi-Tech, Freeform Melodic Psytrance, Minimal Progressive, Psybass, Glitch, Drum & Bass, Psydub, Psychill and deep downtempo ritual soundscapes. Rather than being confined to one narrow subgenre, his approach is highly adaptive: night-time intensity, sunrise transcendence, daytime groove, bass-heavy ceremony or full-spectrum psychedelic storytelling can all emerge depending on the setting.

At the core of his work is a rare balance: boundary-pushing experimentation with enough groove to keep the dance floor fully alive. Psionic Entity’s sets are not passive listening experiences. They challenge dancers to go deeper — into the body, into the psyche, into the strange and luminous edges of trance — while maintaining the physical propulsion needed to keep the floor bouncing. Beyond the festival and club environment, Psionic Entity has also developed a powerful ritual dance practice through Somatic Ecstatic, an ecstatic dance and ceremonial movement format created in 2018. Drawing from his experience in transformational music culture, embodied movement and ritual magick, Somatic Ecstatic brings conscious intent into the trance dance experience, incorporating elemental themes, purification, communion with nature, empowerment and deep somatic release.
